Kimm Topping

Kimm Topping, Ed.M., is a writer, educator, and historian exploring memory, attention, and cultural history. They are the founder of Lavender Education, a creative education and publishing platform supporting writers and artists through workshops, fellowships, and public history projects. An Adjunct Lecturer at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, Kimm teaches on educational equity. Their work blends archival research with creative nonfiction and includes walking tours, historical series such as Mapping Feminist Cambridge, and talks and workshops reaching audiences nationwide. They are the author of GENERATION QUEER (Tu Books/Lee & Low, 2025), editor of Floriography, and writer of their weekly Substack Life After Algorithms. Their work has been recognized by Curve Magazine's Power List, the City of Boston’s Un-Monument initiative, the Massachusetts Transgender Political Coalition, Imagined in Cambridge, and Queer History Boston.
