Elizabeth Quirk
Elizabeth Quirk is a writer and English professor at Wake Technical Community College in Raleigh, North Carolina. She received her MA in Literature from Texas State University in addition to her BA in English from UNC-Chapel Hill. Her most recent story, "A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Woman," was published in Bluestem literary magazine in addition to being shortlisted for the CRAFT 2025 Short Fiction Prize. Other awards for her writing include an honorable mention for the 2024 Plentitudes Prize, first runner-up for the 2023 Robert Day Award for Fiction, a 2022 Pushcart nomination, and the 2021 James Hurst Award for Fiction.
